Coquitlam

This Northern Pygmy-owl caught a vole that probably weights the same as the owl itself. This is the biggest prey I have seen mass to mass in all animals.

Prairie Falcon
My first lifer of the year made my day. By the look of how much time it sent eating, it had a great day too. For about one and a half hour, it was on this branch several hundred meters away, which made clear photos quite tricky. Here's my best shot.

Great Grey Owl
The biggest owl in North America occasionally gets spotted in the busy Metro Vancouver area. This one definitely gave many of us here down south good opportunities to see and photograph.
